Working with Jay and Zach late last year was an absolute blast! These two live in Taiwan and were planning their big wedding there. They were visiting the states over Christmas, however, and swung through Colorado for a few days. They picked a great time, because it was super snowy, but sunny and jaw-droppingly beautiful. I have been a Breckenridge wedding photographer for several years now, but this was my first Colorado winter elopement.
We decided on Sapphire Point for their session, and it did not disappoint. It was truly a winter wonderland! Although I have done many other shoots here since this one, none have been weddings or elopements. I would love to return here again to capture some picturesque, mountaintop wedding photos. Jay and Zach looked amazing for their shoot! Jay had a beautiful white shrug, that really popped against her dark hair. Even though there was a lot of white between the dress, the fur, and all the snow, the photos still totally popped with the vibrant blue mountains and water. The abundance of pine trees and the golden sunlight added a nice touch of warmth to the photos too. Besides me slipping on the ice with my 6 month pregnant belly at the time (I was totally ok, just a bit embarrassed!), it was a pretty perfect afternoon in the Colorado mountains 🙂
We had so much fun playing around with Jay’s dramatic veil…swoon!
