My last share from the Embrace Workshop earlier this year, is day one with Tara and Tony. This Flying Horse Ranch wedding was beautifully and meticulously planned. I hope these photos provide a ton of amazing Colorado winter wedding inspiration for some of you out there. I have said it before (and I am sure I will say it again), winter weddings are way under rated! Although I get it, I myself had a summer wedding. More things can go wrong in the winter, with the unpredictable weather! Also, most people want wedding photos outdoors, which doesn’t always happen this time of year.
That being said, when things do come together, winter weddings can be absolutely magical! Especially (like on this day) when it is softly snowing during the bride and groom portraits…swoon π If we ever do a vow renewal, I hope it will either be on a beach somewhere, or a winter wonderland in the Colorado mountains. Flying Horse Ranch would be a perfect spot for it too! The barn and house are both large enough spaces to accommodate many people, and both amazingly beautiful. The house has more of a vintage and ornate feel. While the barn, obviously, oozes rustic elegance.
For the Embrace Workshop they pulled out all of the stops! Have you ever seen a floral ceremony circle? Not your typical arch, but a full floral circle? That was some extremely impressive work by Southern Charm Weddings and Events! The beautiful florals continued into the reception centerpiece, the bridal bouquet, and even small touches on the cake table. All of the other equally talented vendors can be found at the bottom of this blog post. Everyone was so lovely to work with π
That included the bride and groom, Tara and Tony. The newlyweds had been married a few months before the workshop, and were excited to get back in wedding attire to get some photos in a winter setting this time. They are so tender and sweet with one another, and naturals in front of the camera. Tara’s dress is gorgeous, and her hair and make-up looked flawless. They added in the faux fur shrug for the outdoor portraits. It was the perfect winter accessory, and popped against the white dress and snow. Thanks Tara & Tony for helping us out on this day, and wishing you a wonderful life together!
