Hey there! The blog has been a lot more quite this month…wedding season must be upon us 😉 The first post this week is the Sullins family. Jenny is a gorgeous mama that contacted me earlier this year. She wanted to capture some Colorado family photos, as well as maternity photos, as they anticipated the arrival of their eighth child. I have not photographed a lot of large families (aside from extended family sessions), and so I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit nervous. Their Boulder family photography session at Coot Lake was a breeze though! Pun intended…IT.WAS.WINDY!! The kiddos, however, were awesome. What an amazingly well-behaved, sweet, and photogenic bunch! With nine people, I was assuming I would have to “head swap” nearly every group shot in photoshop. Nope, they made it pretty easy on me, by all looking at the camera and smiling simultaneously 🙂 So while the wind made it a bit challenging for us at times, it did help when it came time for some photos of Jenny alone. Her beautiful Sew Trendy Accessories maternity gown blowing in the wind, looked quite amazing. The white looked very serene in the photos. I liked how the kids clothing all added some vibrancy to the group shots too! It was great that they weren’t too “matchy” as a group. Everyone’s attire went together seamlessly.
So glad we captured some alone photos of the busy parents too!
