Wine enters through the mouth,
Love, the eyes.
I raise the glass to my mouth,
I look at you,
I sigh.

Michelle and Matt had a beautiful Colorado vineyard wedding at the Wine Country Inn. This was my first time shooting a vineyard wedding, as well as my first time in Palisade. I had a really great time, and the venue was just wonderful! My husband was my second shooter for this wedding (as he use to work with Michelle), and so we made a little mini-vacation out of it! After a full-day of hard work shooting, I even got to enjoy some of the local wine. Derek opted for beer (as always)…only my hubby would drink beer at a vineyard LOL!
Michelle and Matt’s wedding was an intimate affair. They exchanged vows, surrounded by family, their closest friends, and a whole lot of grapes! The wine theme was incorporated throughout their day. They had a wine unity ceremony, a wine bottle “guestbook”, cork and grape centerpieces, and a rich red color scheme. One of my favorite details of the day was their cheesecake buffet. I love, love, love cheesecake (way more than regular cake), then add in an array of fresh fruits, and I am one happy girl! They had this in place of a traditional wedding cake. It looked really beautiful, and guests seemed to enjoy it…especially those peaches that Palisade is known for 🙂
Maybe it’s just me, but it almost seems like the leaves make a heart around them! LOVE!!
Thank you Michelle and Matt for trusting me to photograph your most special day. I loved working with you guys and hope that like a fine wine, your love gets even better with age 🙂
Cheers!
Melissa
