I had the pleasure of photographing Jenna and Chase in early 2014 with the Denver photo betties. We did their Evergreen wedding photography session (well, actually it was a post-wedding session) at the Elk Meadows Open Space. I have since returned to this beautiful location for a few engagement sessions. It’s a really pretty spot, and you can’t go wrong anywhere in Evergreen…the views are amazing! This was a session that I really wanted to share as part of my “From the Archives” series. I figured the timing was good, because even though it is mid-May, we had snow this week! I definitely hope to have a few more Colorado winter weddings on my schedule every year. While summer, mountain weddings are my favorite, winter can be oh so beautiful too! Especially when you luck out and get mild temperatures, but light snowfall 🙂
Jenna and Chase were a sweet couple to work with, so in love! Since they were married they have had some kiddos, so it was nice for them to have some “alone” time to cuddle and laugh a lot. And it’s always fun to get back in your wedding dress, to get some more nice photos! I should know, I did 3 post-wedding shoots after my big day! I had a hard time letting my wedding go.
A beautiful light snowfall…swoon!
A lot of brides choose a white bouquet, but I personally LOVE a colorful bouquet! I think they pop against the white/ivory/cream dresses, and add a little fun 🙂 I absolutely loved this bouquet. Anybody know what these fuchsia flowers are called? I think they are so cool looking!Excited to attend my niece’s first dance concert tomorrow, and then Pitch Perfect 2 after that! Whatever you are up to this weekend..enjoy!
xoxo,
Melissa
