Ok, I am more than a day late for part 2 of this gorgeous Leadville styled shoot…sorry, I am fighting a cold this week and less productive than planned! Here are Karen & Colin, our bride and groom models for the day. Autumn and Brian from Monday’s blog post, are back for a few bridal party photos. And sweet, silly Peckinpaw is back too 🙂 This burro was pretty terrified of Karen’s flowing dress at first! I am so glad his owner was there to position him, so we could still get some photos of them together without him running off. Speaking of Karen’s beautiful Truvelle gown…how great did she look?! I just love the black sash, and the movement in the dress. It was really perfect for this Colorado mountain wedding photography session!
I think I could shoot in the Colorado mountains every day and it would never get old! This area around Leadville and Vail, is especially gorgeous for a Colorado mountain wedding. The details of this “Gold Rush” themed wedding were as jaw-droppingly gorgeous as the views 🙂 I really loved the lush florals, the unique light fixture, the rock candy favors, and the desserts that looked too pretty to eat! They even had a custom invitation suite made, with some history about Leadville, and old mining tools adorned the backs of the chairs. The amount of planning put into this event was very impressive! I have always wanted to create my own styled shoot, but have never found the time to put into it. I absolutely loved planning my own wedding, so I know how much I would enjoy styling another one. This was such a creative concept, and I am so glad I got to be a part of it!
Peckinpaw loving on his owner…HOW.STINKIN.CUTE!!
I haven’t seen many black wedding cakes, but it sure is a statement piece!
If you are looking for your own Colorado wedding photographer, look no further 🙂 I would love to chat over coffee (or wine!) about your own wedding photography needs. Have a wonderful day!
xoxo,
Melissa
