Oh July, you have been a crazy roller coaster of a month! Firstly, I got to capture some awesome memories for some great couples. I celebrated my 34th birthday, and my 6th wedding anniversary/12th dating anniversary. That was all enjoyable, but then it ended with a very painful trip to the ER for gallstones. I am on the mend, and very excited for a beautiful Estes Park wedding tomorrow. Speaking of beautiful weddings, here is Kelly and Zach’s Wedgewood on Boulder Creek wedding. My final wedding to share from 2015…yay!
Kelly and Zach are a great couple, and we laughed a ton while working together. We started their day at Briar Rose in Boulder. I captured some of Kelly’s pretty bridal details there, and the girls got into their dresses. Next, we headed over to Flagstaff Mountain for their first look. Since it’s such a stunning spot, we had to spend a little bit of time there and capture the beautiful couple amongst the beautiful backdrop. Next, we went over to the most quintessential Boulder location, Chautauqua Park. The wedding party joined us for some photos, and they were all a lot of fun to work with. The girls looked stunning in their long, navy blue dresses, and the guys equally great in their gray suits.
After visiting a few of the beautiful backdrops that Boulder offers, we headed to their venue. Wedgewood on Boulder Creek is a cute spot for a wedding. And since it was fall, there was some colorful foliage along the creek. Kelly and Zach had a sweet, heartfelt ceremony with all of the important people in their lives. Followed by a fun-filled reception, with a packed dance floor the entire night. I loved all of the reception details Kelly and Zach had. The floral centerpieces with the wine corks were really cool, the string art guestbook and escort card display were very creative. In addition, the dessert table looked colorful and perfectly executed. Guests had an incredible time, and were spoiled with great food, drinks, lawn games, and loads of fun!
Definitely one of the more epic first looks I have photographed 🙂 It was quite toasty for October in Colorado. We could have had snow instead!
So, the story here is one of these glasses contained vodka and the other contained water. Kelly and Zach didn’t know which was which. In Polish tradition, the person who gets the vodka will “wear the pants in the family” so to speak 🙂 I think Kelly was ok ending up with the water!
