Early this year I attended the Embrace workshop at Flying Horse Ranch. This was hosted by my photography friends, Tina Joiner and Lindsay Schmidt. I had a lot of fun with these two, and some other amazing Colorado lady bosses! The Flying Horse Ranch was an incredible location for the workshop. Aside from the classroom style education, we also got an opportunity to do quite a bit of shooting. Like Laura and Johnny’s Colorado Springs engagement photography here.
The only negative of this wonderful workshop was how bitterly cold out it was! I don’t remember the actual temps, but some of our model couples were not up for venturing outside. We took Laura and Johnny out for a few minutes to capture their love amongst the sun, snow and the pine trees. You read that right…sun! Don’t let that foul you though, it was brutally cold! It is Colorado though, and even when it’s crazy cold, the sun is still out. Thanks to these two for being such troopers 🙂
Laura brought along a small blanket scarf. It was super cute for the photos and helped to warm her up…a little 😉
The Flying Horse is such a beautiful venue! I loved the photos of them dancing and spinning in the barn. Hopefully I will be able to (someday) also photograph a wedding first dance right here too. If you are looking for an amazing Larkspur wedding venue, you have to check this place out…you will fall in love 🙂

I enjoyed catching up with you both, learning and shooting with you too! Wishing you lots of luck with your future Embrace Workshops.
