The Story Family | Boulder Family Photographs | Coot Lake

Happy Mother’s Day! Especially to the mamas in my life…my mom and mother-in-law, my beautiful sisters, and my sister-in-law. It’s certainly fitting to share these Boulder family photographs on Mother’s Day. And it’s this mom in the photos below, Traci’s first Mother’s Day as well. I hope your boys spoiled you today, Traci 🙂 Since the Story family had recently welcomed their baby boy into the world, they wanted to take advantage of my fall mini session offer. We went to Coot Lake and enjoyed the lovely mountain and lake views, and the sunny, colorful, warm afternoon.

Sweet baby Tru practically slept through the entire photo shoot LOL. But we did get a few little grins and yawns in there! The Story family was really great to work with. I would definitely love to work with them again in the future. They were actually guests at a wedding I photographed years ago, and friends with that couple, Alyssa and Dustin. They saw Alyssa and Dustin’s colorful fall session on Facebook, and decided they wanted one of their own too. Gotta love the power of social media and amazing client referrals!

Photo shoots are exhausting work 😉

Always important to get shots of mom and dad alone too! What a sweet, loving couple 🙂

One last time…happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible moms out there! No doubt, it’s the toughest and most rewarding job there is. I am only one year in, so I am still a complete rookie at this. Not every day has been easy, but I wouldn’t change it for the world! Moms, I hope you had a beautiful day with your loved ones and got to relax the entire day. It’s too bad the Colorado weather wasn’t a little warmer, especially considering it hit 90° a few days ago. Gotta love that crazy spring weather around here, it always keeps us on our toes 🙂
