Mirja and Adam were visiting Denver, from Arizona, last fall. They were taking a little “babymoon”, to relax before the arrival of their baby girl. They wanted an urban, city vibe for their Colorado maternity portraits. So I suggested some popular locations around downtown Denver, and we visited several of them during their fun shoot 🙂 We started their Denver maternity pictures near the Millennium Bridge area. Mirja had gone and had her hair and make-up done professionally, and she looked beautiful. We were not particularly happy that it was a super windy day, but we made it work, and things came together amazingly well!
After spending some time near Millennium Bridge, we ventured over to the Museum of Contemporary Art. There is a unique heart sculpture there, and some neat alleyways nearby. As well as an old metal bridge that photographs really well! Then, it was off for some night portraits to end a wonderful portrait session, with a wonderful couple.
If you don’t remember, this year I was again named one of the top maternity photographers in the Denver area by Expertise.com! That is the second year in a row, and I am truly honored 🙂 These sessions are always a lot of fun. Couple’s portraits are some of my favorites to capture. Maternity is simply a couple’s session, with a cute little baby bump in tow, and a whole lot of excitement/anticipation!
I love my little man more than I ever thought possible…but adorable baby girl clothes and accessories, sure would be fun! How stinking precious are these sparkly Michael Kors baby shoes?! I love them! And they match mama’s shoes so well.
They made a quick outfit change, and we waited a bit, so that it was dark enough for some pretty nighttime photos around Larimer Square. If you follow my blog, you already know I have photographed countless couples at Larimer Square, at night. But this was my first time doing a maternity session there (and since then I have photographed a family there too!). This was a fun change!

If you loved these locations, go and check out Nicole and Brian’s Denver engagement portraits too! These are certainly photography hotspots in the heart of Denver. But even though I shoot here fairly often, each session is unique, fun, and memorable in it’s own way 🙂
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a great weekend! 2 weekends left until Christmas…are you ready? We are hosting my family this year, at my house. I am nowhere near ready, but thankfully with my editing done, I have some time to get things in order in the coming weeks! Courtney and Justin’s beautiful Berthoud wedding is coming to the blog next, check back soon.
