Happy 2019, friends! I hope your first day of the new year, was a good one 🙂 My first blog post in this new year, is the lovely Weaver family. This sweet bunch was visiting from Nebraska and wanted some Estes Park family pictures, during their visit. They wanted to incorporate the mountains too. Since that’s not something they really get in their Nebraska family pictures!
We decided to not spend the extra money on the photography permit and entrance fee in Rocky Mountain National Park. So we were trying to think of somewhere else in Estes that would still be picturesque, without too much hiking. I remember hearing about this little hidden trail, across from the Stanley Hotel. So I did some scouting beforehand, and we decided it would be a great choice for their Estes Park family pictures. I met up with the Weaver family on my wedding anniversary for a fun session! Then, I met up with my husband and baby boy for a nice dinner in Lyons afterward. It was a truly great day!
The Knoll-Willows Open Space was a pretty unique Estes Park location. These old ruins we stumbled upon were a neat feature for a few shots.
This outtake was too funny not to share!!
They took some time to stop and “smell the roses” (well, actually some wildflowers!)…and I am sure glad they did. I love capturing genuine, candid moments as well.
