Woo hoo..Breckenridge Colorado family pictures that weren’t at Sapphire Point lol! Just teasing, that is my go to location, after all. Because it’s stunning, doesn’t require much hiking, and is often very convenient 🙂 The Bowers family was staying further from town, however, near Blue Lakes. So they were hoping for a location closer to them than Sapphire Point. I did some scouting around that area, and wasn’t really finding “the right” location. Until they suggested somewhere along Blue Lakes Road. I drove up the road and stumbled upon Blue Lakes – Monte Cristo Gulch. What a gorgeous location! I cannot wait to visit it again! In fact, I tried to go up there a few weeks ago for a winter family session, but the road was closed. Assuming, and hoping, that it was just closed for the winter season though.
The Bowers family was visiting from Wisconsin (well except one of their daughters that lives here in Colorado). They were a great bunch to work with! Very nice and easy-going, and all very photogenic too. While we mostly lucked out with the weather in comparison to the last family session I shared here on the blog, the Miller family. It did get fairly windy during their session. We made it work though, and got some really great stuff! I loved when they pulled out the little souvenir hats for the grandsons…it is the wild west after all 😉
