Sarah and Dustin had a destination wedding in the beautiful Colorado mountains this past fall. They were visiting from Virginia, with their closest loved ones and hosted an amazing, intimate Lodge at Breckenridge wedding. Unfortunately, I wasn’t available to capture their wedding photos, but my “associate photographer”, Kristina, was. What is an associate photographer, you may wonder? It is a professional photographer that represents my company and shoots the wedding on my behalf. I then do all of the editing to ensure the photos represent the Plum Pretty Photography brand. I still did the pre and post-wedding correspondence and planning with Sarah and Dustin.
While, it would have been great to capture the photos myself, Kristina did a stellar job! I had no doubts at all! We have photographed over 30 weddings together and we know how the other works. While I always hope couple choose to hire me directly, but the associate option can be great when I am unavailable. Or if you are searching for more budget friendly option. All associate photography packages receive a 20% discount!
Breckenridge in the fall is a truly magical time! When Sarah and Dustin got into town they scoped out some mountain locations that I had suggested, to find a perfect spot for their bride and groom portraits. They had wanted to head up to Boreas Pass, but it was just going to be too long of a commute. Sarah found this colorful aspen grove on the way to Boreas, just about 10 minutes away from the venue. It was the perfect choice. Great fall colors, and beautiful mountain views to boot 🙂
A quick first look before heading towards Boreas Pass for their bride and groom portraits.
That dress is STUNNING!! Seriously…has to be one of my favorites of all time!! Dustin looked sharp in his uniform too. Such a great looking company 🙂
This is definitely one of my favorite of their Lodge at Breckenridge wedding photos! Sweet, candid moment in this gorgeous aspen grove 🙂
The views on the deck at their Lodge at Breckenridge wedding, were jaw-dropping. The sky was super blue and there were crazy, cool clouds too. What more can you ask for? Fall in Colorado can be unpredictable, it could look like this, or there could be a snow storm LOL! I am sure they would have embraced whatever happened, as long as they were able to say their “I dos”. But I am sure they were extremely happy that this is the day they got!
Meanwhile…outside, this was going on 😉 Sarah and Dustin didn’t have a clue LOL! Kristina was actually heading to her car to head back home, but decided she just couldn’t miss this hilarity. How often do your wedding guests dress up as dinosaurs on your wedding day after all?
Sharing a quick “first dance” with their dino pals 😉 The perfect, fun-filled end to a wonderful day!
Thank you so much Sarah and Dustin for allowing my company to capture your big day! I hope you enjoy these Lodge at Breckenridge wedding photos for many years to come. I would have loved to meet you in person, but I do feel like I know you after editing all of your wedding pictures 🙂 If you find yourself in Colorado again, and need some anniversary photos, I would love to capture them for you!
Up on the blog next, Kayla’s Westminster senior pictures from Standley Lake. We even got a colorful, gorgeous sunset! I hope you will check back soon. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Off to get our Girl Scout Cookies from niece…that should be dangerous LOL!
