Another beautiful wedding at the Pinery at the Hill, and another beautiful wedding with my friend Tina Joiner. Thanks for having me along, girl…it’s always a good time! This was such a fun Pinery Colorado Springs wedding. Janine is from the states, and Tim is from England. They incorporated touches from each of their countries for their awesome, individualized wedding.
I absolutely loved seeing so many of Tim’s guests donning gorgeous fascinators. If you aren’t familiar with fascinators, they are the fancy British hats you see in the media at the royal wedding, for example. I am not sure if I will ever see these again at another wedding, or not. So it was sure fun to admire all of these beautiful pieces! One couple was especially dressed up. Aside from the lady’s fascinator, she also had high heels with the British flag on them. And her husband wore a suit jacket with the British flag. They were definitely representing their homeland, and making a fun, bold statement!
Back to Janine and Tim! They were a super sweet couple, and we had tons of time for bride and groom portraits. Which we as photographers always appreciate 🙂 The couple did a first look earlier in the day, so that we were able to go off site for some additional photo backdrops. They decided to do their romantic, couple’s portraits primarily at the Colorado College and Shove Chapel area of Colorado Springs. I photographed a wedding at Shove Chapel at the very beginning of my photography career, and hadn’t been back in many years. It was a very warm day, and we were all kind of melting by the time we headed back to the Pinery. But I would say it was worth it, because Janine and Tim received a ton of variety in their photos.
Finally, my other favorite parts of their day included the personalized groom’s accessories. Including cufflinks that said “you are my person”, and the hilarious handkerchief that demanded “keep your sh*t together” lol! I bet he got a very good laugh from these gifts from his bride. Speaking of laughs, the couple walked down the aisle to Darth Vader’s “Imperial March”. Guests were surprised, and delighted! Rounding out the great aspects of their wedding day included Janine’s colorful wooden flower bouquet, the golden sunset over the mountains, and their lively, packed dance party. What an incredible wedding day!
This little flower girl was so stinking cute!! Trying on the bride’s heels, and hiding under all of tulle on her dress 😉
This is definitely one of my favorites from Janine & Tim’s Pinery Colorado Springs wedding 🙂
This was one of the most epic father-daughter dances I have seen! They were tearing that floor up and Janine’s dress moved beautifully 🙂
Thanks Tina for having me along for this fun-filled, gorgeous wedding day 🙂 To see even more of my photos from the Pinery at the Hill, check out Kaitlyn and Kyle’s amazing day HERE.
