I am not even sure if you are ready for this amazingness lol!! Seriously though…Sarah and Jesse’s Denver Performing Arts wedding was one for the record books 🙂 I have known Jesse since high school, but really hadn’t kept in touch, besides a little bit on Facebook. But I have kept in better touch with Jesse’s best man, and his wife. As they are long time clients of mine. I was very excited when Jesse reached out. He, Sarah and I met up at a coffee shop in Longmont. They were very sweet together and I loved hearing about the plans for their unique Denver wedding. These two are both actors and entertainers and it was extremely important to incorporate that into their wedding celebration. So, they decided on a SURPRISE musical number for their guests! How epic is that?!
So while I knew they were doing the musical number, and I had no doubt the guests would be delighted. I really had no clue the scale of this production! Here I was thinking a 5 minute musical number, before saying their wedding vows. In actuality, it was a professionally written and composed 20+ minute play about their love story. Sarah rode in on a piano that her dad was playing (he was the only family member that knew about the musical), the wedding party all performed as well. Professional band and lighting design, even costume changes. Like I said…EPIC!! And everyone was so talented. Guests were laughing, crying, cheering, it was a beautiful thing to document!
The musical number was not the only great thing about Sarah and Jesse’s Denver wedding.
Some other memorable parts of their day included Jesse’s emotional reaction to seeing his beautiful bride for the first time. Also, the surprise dessert reveal. Their reception centerpieces were handmade “record players”. After dinner the wooden box was lifted up, and revealed a delicious pie by the Happy Bakeshop. And if one incredible performance wasn’t enough, Sarah and Jesse also had a beautifully choreographed first dance number. Full of lifts and dips, and oohs and aahs from their guests! We ended the night with a fun, packed dance floor. I truly have the best job in the world!
Jesse definitely had one of the best reactions to seeing his bride for the first time, during their first look!
This is definitely one of my favorites from their Denver Performing Arts wedding…how cool is this modern red wall?
Thank you Sarah and Jesse, I don’t think I will ever forget your amazing wedding day! Non-traditional, beautiful, entertaining, emotional…what an epic day to be a part of 🙂 I hope to see you both at our Longmont High School 20-year reunion this summer!
