Several years ago I photographed Angeline’s older sister Alicia’s senior portraits. You can see those HERE! That was such a fun session, so when their mom reached out again…I was very excited! As we did with Alicia, we wanted to incorporate Angeline’s interests into the photos. For her, that was her love for softball! We met up at the school for her Longmont High senior photos. She brought along her glove, a ball, and her letter jacket. These were great props, and really added to the photos 🙂 I know I have said it before, but I love photographing my teen clients’ hobbies and interests. Even if they are no longer participating in these activities in 20 years. Looking back, they will appreciate that the photos reflected who they were during this important season of life. I sure wish I had some dance shots during my own senior session!
After a quick softball session, we headed over to Golden Ponds Nature Area. This is my most frequently visited Longmont photo shoot location. And I know it’s not me…I almost always see other photographers there as well. During a busy fall weekend, I have seen up to 10 photographers there at the same time. Not too surprising though, it’s a great spot, with a ton of variety! Golden Ponds offers some distant mountain views, a bridge, a little waterfall, tons of mature trees, and open fields of tall grasses. Golden Ponds is less than 10 minutes away from Longmont High School too. So it was really the perfect choice for the bulk of Angeline’s senior session. I love how the nature photos turned out! Angeline’s beautiful red hair popped against the warm yellow backdrop of the fall foliage and the golden grasses.
This is definitely one of my favorites from Angeline’s Longmont High senior photos. She looks so fierce!
Thank you Angeline! I hope you look back on your high school experience fondly. I hope graduating during a pandemic, didn’t overshadow the wonderful memories you made during the other 3.5 years of high school. My 20 year reunion also had to be cancelled (well, hopefully postponed), also from Longmont High School. Being back at Longmont High with Angeline, was definitely a trip down memory lane! What a fun session all around 🙂 Next on the blog? Megan and Matt’s intimate Beaver Creek wedding…I hope you will check back!
