Lisa and Rusty + 1 on the way | Boulder Maternity Pictures | Coot Lake Colorado

Say hello to these high school sweethearts, Lisa and Rusty! I have known Lisa since our days at Longmont High School. They welcomed their first child early last year. He is a cutie patootie!! I will be sure to share their fall family photos down the road. For their winter Boulder maternity pictures we met up at Coot Lake. This is a great location, year round. Although, it can be super windy. Boy, oh boy, did we luck out on this January afternoon though. It was sunny, mild, and gorgeous out! I don’t think anyone would guess this was a winter photo shoot, if I didn’t tell them.

Lisa looked adorable with that baby bump…and her clothing choices were pretty cute too 😉 She started in a gray sweater dress, with a fun little partial belt accessory! Rusty wore a navy blue sweater with jeans, casual, but still nice enough for a professional photography session. Then Lisa got comfy in a striped top and scarf. I always say yes to accessories! They can really take an outfit to the next level. We incorporated a few little props throughout their session, to give them even more variety. Lisa and Rusty brought along an ultrasound photo of baby Colton, a pair of his little shoes, and an adorable custom onesie. We had a lovely session indeed, and I look forward to (hopefully) many more in the future with this wonderful family!

Thanks again Lisa and Rusty for allowing me to capture not one, but two photo sessions for you in 2020! It’s been so awesome to see your relationship blossom over all of these years. You guys are an inspiration to so many, and Colton is so lucky to have you both 🙂 Congratulations on the addition to your family…I can’t believe he’s already one! Time sure flies! Mine will be four in exactly one month. How crazy is that?
