For the last blog post of this month I bring you Deanna and Ken! They won a trip to the Colorado mountains and decided to elope while they were visiting. We captured a ton of great variety in a short amount of time during their Grand Lake wedding photos. We met at Point Park to kick things off with an intimate ceremony with their officiant CelebrateLifeArt. What a sweet elopement ceremony! There was plenty of laughter and tears. This was actually my first time shooting at Point Park, but I have since been back. I will also continue to recommend it for wedding clients and portrait clients alike. It’s a really great, picturesque location!
After their vows, exchanging of rings, and signing the marriage license, the three of us wandered around to get them some amazing wedding portraits. We really lucked out with a great fall day…with foliage abound! After lots of images at Point Park, we got in cars and headed to a few other spots in Grand Lake. I noticed a cool wooden bridge near Point Park and so we briefly stopped there. It started to get kind of windy, so we moved along. Next we headed over for some photos by the river. We captured these at the Historic Rapids Lodge and Restaurant. A cute little spot that their wedding coordinator Melanie recommended. Last stop, historic downtown Grand Lake. Here we got shots with some old buildings, as well as on the big wooden docks of the lake itself.
We truly got a little bit of everything during their Colorado elopement photos…mountains, fall foliage, a flowing river, a large lake at sunset, as well as unique rustic structures! I was sure pleased with what we captured! We called it a day and I wished them the best. But then it turned out we were seated right next to each other at dinner later that night at the Tabernash Tavern. A great choice for a delicious mountain meal clearly!
This is definitely one of my favorites from their Grand Lake wedding photos…love that beautiful foliage!

Thank you Deanna and Ken! I hope married life is going great for you guys and that you had an unforgettable trip to our gorgeous Colorado mountains 🙂 Next on the blog, Kaylie’s Longmont senior session. I shared 24 blog posts in January! Let’s see if I can beat that record in February LOL! Although, I’ve got 4 less days…let’s see how this goes.
Deanna & Ken’s small, but mighty dream team 😉
