Today on the blog, the Reed family. This was my first time working with this sweet bunch…but hopefully not the last! They were all super nice, took direction well, and the children were very well-behaved. For these Lyons family photos we met up at the unique Lavern M. Johnson Park. This is a little hidden gem, that has some great variety. It’s especially pretty during the fall season, with colorful foliage all around and crunchy leaves blanketing the ground.
The Reed family did a great job planning their photoshoot outfits. They all wore a different color, but went together beautifully! These colors all complimented the fall foliage and vibes very well. I love when families wear different things. Being super matchy just seems too outdated, and in my honest opinion kind of boring. The Reed family was anything but boring! We made our way all over the Lavern M. Johnson Park. We photographed at a bunch of spots near the river. We got some fun shots on the bridge and on the large downed tree. Then they sat, walked, threw, and even wrestled in the crunchy leaves.

This is easily a favorite from their Lyons family photos. Colorful and casual, and not your typical family pose…they sure are cute too!

Thanks again Reed family! I genuinely hope to have an opportunity to work with you all again someday. Next on the blog, Kylie’s two part senior session….which ended at this very same Lyons, Colorado park. This was not supposed to be a two part session, but two wildfires were blazing, and the air in Rocky Mountain National Park was getting terrible. Ash was falling from the sky, you couldn’t barely see the mountains, and I started to get concerned the were going to start evacuating Estes Park. Read more about it tomorrow!
For another fall family session I love, check out the Lauglin family HERE. I had a blast with them at this beautiful Evergreen location 🙂
