Today on the blog Martha and Jimmy’s stunning Lionscrest Manor summer wedding. Wow, was this day spectacular in every way! Beautiful couple, awesome venue, great details, and a sunny, gorgeous evening. I was definitely one happy photographer! If you follow my blog, it’s probably no surprise that Lionscrest is one of my favorite venues. I have been on their preferred vendors list for a few years. That’s been so great, since that’s provided me with even more fabulous Lionscrest Manor couples. The venue has great variety in its photo ops, between the mountain views, the rustic out buildings, the water fountain, all the trees and flowers around, and the old truck. And that’s only outdoors! The staff is all so wonderful too. They are a “well oiled machine” there…they are prepared for everything and sure know how to make a wedding day run smoothly!
There were a ton of things to love about Martha and Jimmy’s wedding.
Some of my favorites were their sweet, mountaintop first look before the ceremony. I don’t force any of my couples to do a first look, but it can really help the timeline and allow for a ton of variety in the couple’s portraits. And boy did we get so much great variety! Another part of their wedding that was really great was their amazing donut wall, full of Voodoo Doughnuts. Now, I am not personally a huge cake person. But I LOVE me some donuts LOL! Guests seemed to thoroughly enjoy them as well.
Martha and Jimmy took dance lessons before their big day. Those really paid off. Their first dance was beautiful, with a show-stopping dip at the end! The mountains are very important to these two, and they incorporated that theme into a lot of their wedding details. Their tables were named after different mountains. The cake topper was a cute chairlift with their wedding date. Even their vow books, seating chart, place cards, and beer koozie favors all incorporated the mountain motif. Everything was very well done, and came together wonderfully. The lively, packed dance floor and the LED glow baton grand exit were the perfect ending to a perfect day!
This is definitely a favorite from their Lionscrest Manor summer wedding. Such a beautifully candid moment! Although I don’t think I can pick a single favorite. These two are unbelievably photogenic, and I loved so many of the couple’s portraits we captured.

Thank you so much Martha and Jimmy! I hope newlywed life is treating you well. I absolutely loved your wedding day, and was so honored to capture these photos for you. Hopefully you cherish them for many years to come 🙂 If I could go ahead and order up such perfect and beautiful days for all of my weddings forever…that would be great!! On the blog next, Heather’s unforgettable, EPIC maternity session at the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Seriously, you don’t want to miss that one either!
