Nicole Turns 40 + Wickett Family | Colorado 40th Birthday Photoshoot | Lyons CO Photographer

Lordy, lordy, Nicolę is 40 LOL! That was always the saying I remember when my parents and their friends turned 40. Geez, as a kid that seemed SO old! But somehow my friends and I are now all that old too. How does time fly so fast? I met up with the Wickett family at the Lavern M. Johnson Park for this Colorado 40th birthday photoshoot and fall family photos.

Nicole went all out for the planning of her birthday session. Her props included multiple banners, cupcakes with fun cupcake toppers, wine, and a special birthday cup. Then all of their outfits went with the theme. Nicole wore a 40th t-shirt, a playful tutu, and of course…a tiara! Her mini me also wore a tutu and tiara. The boys wore t-shirts relating to Nicole or her birth year. Nicole thought of everything, and I think the photos turned out super cute. After the birthday mini session, they did a quick outfit change for some fall family photos. We didn’t have a ton of time, but got some awesome shots near the river and with the vibrant fall foliage!

This is one of my favorites from Nicole’s Colorado 40th birthday photoshoot. As the banner says, (like a fine wine) Nicole is “aged to perfection”!

Thanks Wickett family, it’s always a memorable session with you all! I really missed you during this year’s mini sessions. Hopefully you will be in town when I do them again next fall. Nicole, I hope your 40th year was an awesome one and this decade will be the best one yet. You aren’t a day over fabulous and I loved capturing these fun photos for you 🙂 I really wish I had gotten my stuff together and did a 40th themed session too. I had really wanted to do a “death to my youth” session, dressed in a long, black tulle skirt. Ahh well…busy, busy!
