Risa and Blaine are from Kansas City, but they have family here in Colorado and visit quite a bit. In fact, I was able to capture their maternity photos in Rocky Mountain National Park. That was such a fun session…and they are the sweetest couple! I was thrilled when they reached out for me to capture some family photos for them as well. We decided on Sapphire Point Overlook and Windy Point Campground for their Breckenridge family portrait photography session. What a gorgeous evening in the Colorado mountains!
It was wonderful to work with Risa and Blaine again, and meet their adorable daughter. Oh my goodness is she precious! And probably the most photogenic baby I have ever met and photographed. So smiley with those little front “toofers” LOL! Mama and baby looked gorgeous in their simple, summer dresses. Blaine looked nice in his blue button down and dark jeans. Their clothing was neutral, but definitely not boring. It complimented all of the colors of the mountains, the pine trees, and the wild grasses. We captured all of the great features of Sapphire Point. The mountain views, the wooden fences, and the overlook rock formations. Then we headed down the road to Windy Point Campground as well. Here we got more smiley portraits, as well as plenty of sweet, candid family moments too! I love the open field of long grasses at Windy Point, it adds some great variety from just Sapphire Point by itself.
This is definitely one of my favorites from the Kauk’s Breckenridge family portrait photography session. Those precious, joyful smiles in this picture perfect setting are pretty unbeatable!
