Today I am sharing my first session at the Colorado School of Mines with the beautiful Carolina. She was about to graduate with an engineering degree and wanted to capture some Colorado college graduation portraits to celebrate. You totally deserve to celebrate…what an incredible achievement! Like so many other campuses, Mines was full of cool architecture and ornate, historical buildings. We met outside the popular Guggenheim Hall. At the time there were several other graduating seniors taking photos with their own photographers, so we actually started at the neighboring Berthoud Hall. I spotted a cool door and a stone sculpture with the Mines logo. We decided not to waste too much time waiting for the others to be done. Then we returned to Guggenheim once it was all clear.
Carolina wore a simple white dress for her session. We added her black graduation cap and gown of course. As well as her 2023 tassel, and her colorful cords. She completed her graduation look with some chunky nude heels. She looked beautiful, and finally stress free after some grueling finals! Carolina was a great tour guide all over campus. She pointed out the areas that she really liked and that were special to her. Then with the professional photographer’s eye, I pointed out the spots with features and lighting that would photograph well. We got a ton of great shots, and the rain mostly held out. We got a few minutes with some sunny, sprinkling….but thankfully that was it! This has been such a crazy, rainy spring, so we definitely can’t complain on this evening.
This is one of my favorites from Carolina’s Colorado college graduation portraits. Love the flying tassel, and her vibrant smile!
Thanks so much Carolina. I had such a fun time with you, checking out your college campus. I hope the transition into adulthood goes great for you. Wishing you all the best! I hope your future is full of wonderful adventures, memories, and endless amounts of joy and love 🙂 On the blog next, the amazing Venturella family. This was their first session as a family of four!
