I adore working with the McDonald family every other year for updated portraits. Their summer Golden Ponds family pictures turned out beautifully and were so much fun to capture! I really loved the outfits the McDonald family put together. Amber’s floral dress was just lovely. Each of the kids wore a color that was found in their mom’s floral dress. Light blue, mustard yellow, and navy blue all complimented the green and yellow scenery so well. Cary kept it neutral with a white button down and dark pants. Great choices indeed!
For their session we got a great mix of posed and playful, candid shots. As well as just about every possible grouping for a family of five. We had a great time catching up on life, as we walked around all of the great spots that Golden Ponds Nature Area offers. We captured photos at the waterfall, on the bridge and dirt road, amongst all of the trees, on the wooden fence, and of course with the pond and mountain views at sunset. I cannot believe how grown up the kiddos are getting. Take a look at our first session together HERE…you won’t believe the changes! This is definitely one of my favorite parts of this job, working and growing right alongside my clients year after year.

This is definitely one of my favorites from the McDonald’s Golden Ponds family pictures in Longmont. I love the vibrant colors in this scene, and the joyful, candid expressions!

Thanks so much McDonald family…it’s always a fun time working together. I look forward to hopefully catching up again with you all in 2025. Imagine how grown up your kiddos will be then! Next up on the blog, Lane’s Boulder senior session at South Mesa Trail and South Boulder Creek West. I hope you will check back soon.
