The Mercer Family | Mead Colorado Family Portraits | CO Fall Minis

Meet the Mercer family! They are a new family to my business, and I am so glad they found me. Not always easy to get four little kiddos looking at the camera, happy, and cooperative. But I was delighted with all of the images we captured during these Mead Colorado family portraits. If you missed my other posts, I had selected a little hidden gem for these sessions. Highland Lake is relatively unknown. The church across the street is actually the location where they filmed some scenes from Die Hard 2. Just a little fun fact! We took advantage of the colorful fall foliage, the open fields, the downed tree, and even the dock on the lake. It’s not a huge park, but that worked perfectly for a mini session. Since time is limited during minis.

The Mercer family is an adorable bunch! They didn’t go “matchy” with their outfits at all, which I love. They mostly stuck with blues and pinks. Pretty casual outfits, but everyone looked very well put together and stylish. I love the variety we got during their session. A nice mix of smiling at the camera photos, and fun, playful, and sweet candid shots. You can just tell how much these guys all love each other! The kids seem to get along very well. And they seem to truly enjoy each other’s company. Two boys, two girls…an instant best friend. How special is that?! All six of them were such naturals in front of the camera, so photogenic. Just look at the beautiful results 🙂

This is definitely one of my favorites from the Mercer’s Mead Colorado family portraits. Such a beautiful family, in a beautiful mountain lake setting!

Thanks so much Mercer family. It was my true pleasure to work with you guys, and I hope there are more opportunities to work together again in the future. You guys are such a cute and fun bunch! Next week on the blog I am sharing a very unique senior session. Mir has bright, hot pink hair! We found some great, colorful backdrops to photograph her in front of in quaint downtown Niwot.
