I have had the pleasure of photographing Cortnee and Caleb numerous times over the years. Engagement photos, two weddings (dang covid), maternity, fall family photos. For these Loveland family portraits they included Cortnee’s parents and brother. We headed over to Lake Loveland for their late spring portrait session. Here we got a really nice mix of candid natural moments and smiling at the camera shots. We did just about every grouping possible for this family of six. I have only shot at Lake Loveland a couple times. But it is a nice location with decent variety. We got photos with the lake and mountains, lots of trees, even an old school house from 1883. There wasn’t a lot of spring flowers, but we did manage to find one large, vibrant yellow rose bush. We were sure to take advantage of that!
These guys chose casual outfits in neutrals. Mostly blues, olive green, and beige. Myla looked especially adorable in her little blue, floral romper and strappy sandals. They all looked so nice! Definitely not super “matchy”, which I think is just perfect for an extended family session. Everything was so lush and green (well at least for Colorado standards). The scenery and weather conditions were just beautiful too. It was a picture-perfect evening indeed.

Clearly, no fun at all during their Loveland family portraits! This one is definitely one of my favorites from this gorgeous spring evening.

Thank you to the entire Phipps/Roberson family. It was wonderful to see you all again. Cortnee, Caleb, and Myla, I look forward to our next annual photo session together. Always so incredible to photograph you guys year after year! Next on the blog I am sharing Madelyn’s class of 2025 senior session from South Mesa Trail. What a beauty, inside and out…check back soon 🙂 Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary. Happy #14 to us! And a happy and safe Fourth of July to you all the day after. See you after the holiday.
