As a twin myself, I always love working with twins! The other day I shared Elijah’s senior photos. Today, it’s his sister Alexandra’s turn. We started her Colorado basketball senior pictures at Burke Park/Horizons K-8 Charter School a spot that I found that I thought would work well for the first part of this Boulder session. I was right, it worked great. I have found that often fraternal twins do have their own interests that are different from their twin sibling. While I am sure that have some separate hobbies, basketball is not one of them! They have both played basketball for many years and absolutely love it. Alexandra will even play basketball in college at Stanford University. That’s amazing…congrats on an incredible achievement! She wanted to rep her future school so she started in jeans and a gray Stanford t-shirt.
We did various posed and action shots with the basketball. I had (mostly jokingly) mentioned having her climb up on the top of the basketball hoop for some unique photos. She was “up for it” LOL! Her mom helped hoist her up there. I felt bad that she got kinda dirty up there. Rust would make the most sense, but she said it almost seemed like melted chocolate. Hopefully it was worth it, because that was one of my favorite photos from the day!

Nailed it! I just love this shot from Alexandra’s Colorado basketball senior pictures. Such a fierce expression, and I love all of the great color around her.

Next we headed over to South Mesa Trail for the remainder of these Boulder senior pictures. Alexandra did three outfits at this location. She wanted a few quick shots in this long pink dress with a lace detail on the lower half. That color looked really great against all of the golden yellow in the fields and the blue of the mountains. This was my personal favorite, but she wanted to quickly change into her next outfit. The second outfit at South Mesa was another long dress. This one was white, with a great crisscross detail on the back, and blue flowers on the neckline. Her final outfit was a short, floral romper in white and sage green.

Thanks so much Alexandra. Wishing you a great collegiate experience next year at Stanford, and wishing you great success in your basketball career! I hope you and Elijah don’t miss each other too much when you go your septette ways in college. You were a lot of fun to photograph, and made my job easy. Next up, back to South Mesa Trail. This time for the adorable Polizzi family. Have a beautiful day and a very safe and happy Halloween tomorrow!
