Today I am sharing James’ Boulder fall senior pictures from South Mesa Trail. His mom had warned me beforehand that he really did not like having his photos taken. So I was definitely expecting the worse! Honestly though James was one of the best senior guys I worked with for all of the class of 2025. James was very nice, cooperative, didn’t complain at all, and very photogenic. Honestly it looked like he had modeling experience. I loved how the photos turned out! I hope you and your family do as well 🙂
James had three outfits for his senior session. Back in the late 90s (when my classmates and I were getting our senior photos done) a lot of these same styles were popular. Baggy jeans, Adidas Samba shoes and patterned polo shirts were very popular with my class of 2000 male counterparts. James’ first outfit was black baggy jeans and a black button down shirt. A neutral choice that went along with every backdrop I put him in front of. He wore this outfit in the large, open field. As well as by the wooden fence with the flatirons backdrop. Next, he changed his shirt into a patterned blue polo shirt. He wore this sitting on a large rock pile, leaning against the stone wall, and sitting on the downed tree trunk.
James’ final outfit was my personal favorite. He kept on his dark baggy jeans and changed into a red, black and blue button down flannel shirt. These colors were very fitting for fall. He wore that with the various patches of fall foliage. Posing in front of golden yellow trees, and a few bushes with vibrant oranges and reds. It was a smooth and easy fall session on a gorgeous evening in late September.

This is certainly one of my favorites from James’ Boulder fall senior pictures. I love all of the interesting elements in this photo location. The rock pile, the amazing flatirons in the background, the golden sunlight and all of the colorful greenery and grasses. James has a particularly natural smile too.

Thanks again James for making this such a smooth and great session. I hope the first half of senior year has been a lot of fun. Enjoy these final months, they will definitely go by super fast! Lastly, I am headed back to Golden Ponds with the Pettit family for the blog’s next post. I hope you will check back soon.
