The Gorka Family | Boulder Family Portrait Session | South Mesa Trail

Hey friends! Another week, another blog post to share. Today I am bringing you the lovely Gorka family. We went to South Mesa Trail for their Boulder family portrait session. If you have followed my work for a long time, you may recognize these parents, Mark and Mackenzie. I have had the pleasure of working with them a few times now. First, for their snowy, Rocky Mountain National Park engagement session. And then at their beautiful Lionscrest Manor wedding day. It was so great to have them in front of my lens again. This time as a family of three. Their little man is just precious! He was such a sweet little man and we even managed to get many natural smiles out of him. That can be a challenge with many babies and toddlers, often they are more reserved around strangers. I love the variety we got during their session. Many smiley family portraits, but also a lot of natural, candid moments too.

We got photos in so many different spots at this popular Boulder location. Many shots with the mountains, in the open fields of long grass, by the stone building, along the fence, and on the iconic bridge. The Gorka family went with pretty neutral tones for their family photography session outfits. Mama in a sage green dress, dad in a beige polo shirt and jeans. And their precious baby boy in a light blue, button down romper. He’s already got some very stylish hair too! They looked great. I love that the outfits weren’t restricting in anyway. We could talk photos sitting, standing, walking, and interacting with their little one. It was easy-breezy, and that made my job really great.

This is definitely one of my favorites from the Gorka’s Boulder family portrait session. I love these sweet, natural expressions during this candid moment.
