The weather was quite the challenge during my Boulder fall mini session weekend. On Saturday the wind was insane for the majority of my sessions! Then on Sunday the later sessions got rained out. Everyone was pretty understanding and I managed to get all of the families that wanted to get rescheduled for another date. It took about three weeks to get all of my clients make-up sessions done, but everything worked out great. Some families drove a ways for their session and just decided to power through and get what we can get. The Polizzis were one of those families. Yes the hair looks a bit more windblown than normal. But I think we still managed to get a ton of awesome images together.
I have had the pleasure of working with the Polizzi family numerous times now. From their epic Great Sand Dunes National Park maternity photos, to their most recent South Mesa Trail Boulder session, I have loved each and every session together. These are some of the sweetest people, and they have become some of my favorite clients to work with. Little Ruby is such a character. A real ham when the camera comes out! She was quite crushed because the darn wind took away her colorful (number 3) birthday balloon that they wanted a few photos with. I did photoshop a balloon onto a few photos for them. It just wasn’t the same as the real thing though. Quite hard to make it look really realistic.

This is one of my favorites from the Polizzi family’s Boulder fall mini session. A fun and joyful moment in a picture perfect setting.

Thanks Polizzi family. I truly hope you love these photos despite the super windy conditions. I cannot thank you enough for your continued support of my small business. Next on the blog I will be sharing Nathen’s Boulder senior pictures. Another great senior session at South Mesa Trail. Check back next year for those 😉 Wishing you all a safe and happy new year’s eve! May 2026 be filled with peace, joy, and health for you and all the people you love.
