Andrea and Greg had a beautiful, rustic, Chatfield Botanic Gardens wedding. Greg’s son, Paxton, was incorporated throughout their day, and they definitely became a complete family on that day! They are just the sweetest family, and I hope to photograph them for many years to come. Couples like this are examples of why this is the best job ever! They became friends to me, and even surprised me with birthday cake during their wedding reception 🙂 Their wedding day was full of awesome, rustic details, lots and lots of tears of joy, (perhaps too many) raindrops, but so much love. The most memorable moments were Paxton carrying around a giant stick during the ceremony, the “selfie” they took with their officiant, the funny hashtag incorporated throughout their day (#sh*tgotreal…well it wasn’t bleeped out like that, but you get the idea LOL!), and their very fun glowstick exit! I hope you enjoy the photos, as much as I enjoyed taking them 🙂
And then we were off to the beautiful Chatfield Botanic Gardens! Traffic was terrible, and rained the whole way…but nothing was ruining their day 🙂
Andrea realized that she didn’t have “something blue”. I told her that at my wedding I had my bridesmaids sign their well wishes on the bottom of my shoes. Someone went and got a blue sharpie…problem solved!
Andrea and her mom shared an emotional moment, when Andrea showed her mom the lace from her mom’s wedding dress that was incorporated into her bouquet.
And another emotional moment when Andrea was presented with her wedding gift from her groom. He made the sweetest scrapbook full of memories from their journey together! He did such a great job 🙂
They were both very emotional while Andrea walked down the aisle…LOVE it!!
It was so funny when they took a “selfie” with their officiant just after the ceremony!
Hamming it up for the videographer 🙂
I didn’t photoshop out the rain drops on Greg’s jacket, I think it tells their wedding story…the rain was in and out throughout the day!
They had some gorgeous, rustic details…sorry, I had to share a bunch!
The fun night ended with an equally fun glow stick exit!
You guys are such an amazing little family, and I am honored to have photographed your big day. Wishing you all the happiness in the world!
xoxo,
Melissa

Thanks sis! I think you are thinking of Molly & Mike’s wedding though (with the judging)…I will blog that in about a month 🙂
These are absolutely stunning! What a perfect day for such a special occasion… we fought through the rain and it was so worth it! So blessed to be apart of this wedding and it couldn’t have been more amazing.
Melissa you are so talented and I can’t wait to see all your work in the future!
Absolutely LOVE these stunning pictures from this beautiful day. I am so happy for the three of you and can’t wait to see the adventures life takes you on.
Beautiful day and fun by all! The pictures truly tell their love story. Melissa -Plum Creek Photography was so awesome. She made the day relaxing and fun yet caring and professional. She did not hesitate if a guest as her to take a picture for some special memories of the family. Our hats go off to her and for hanging in there until the end even on her Birthday!
