Emily + Vasily | Colorado Mountain Engagement Photos | Golden Gate Canyon State Park

I headed back to Golden Gate Canyon State Park a few weeks after Kelly and Zach’s Golden engagement photos.  This time for Emily and Vasily’s Colorado mountain engagement photos!  I had not had the opportunity to meet these two prior to their shoot, and they were just as nice (and fun) as could be!  I am so, so excited for their Lionscrest Manor wedding this summer.  I love Lionscrest!  They really have weddings down to a science.  Yet, every wedding is still unique and doesn’t feel “cookie cutter”.  I will be spending my 33rd birthday photographing these two lovebirds!  Thanks so much to my friend Heidi, from the always awesome Colorado Rose Cake Company, for sending them my way 🙂  I can’t wait to see the beautiful cake you guys make for this beautiful couple!

Vasily proposed to Emily at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.  Does it get any more romantic than that?!  These grooms this year are really impressing me with their proposal stories…good work guys!  Emily and Vasily are such a great couple, and I am glad to have spent this beautiful spring afternoon with them and documenting their love story.  This park was one of my suggestions (because I liked it so much from my last shoot), and it turned out to be a special place to them.  They had many happy memories biking there.  I took them to a different area than they had been before, because as I mentioned before, this park is HUGE!  Hopefully, they now have even more happy memories here 🙂

I definitely have some hair envy!  Emily’s red hair is absolutely stunning, isn’t it?!

I have two local workshops this week, that I am really looking forward to.  Except for the fact that I have to be in south Denver at 8 am, and lately I have not been going to sleep until about 6 or 7 am 🙁  Hopefully they will be worth it, and I will have some fun photos to share!  Have a wonderful week friends!
