You guys…I blogged 4 times this week!  I feel so accomplished 😉  Typically I offer all-inclusive wedding coverage for my clients.  This is what I wanted as a bride, and I don’t want any of us watching the clock all day or stressing over timelines.  I also so love my job and enjoy producing quality images that tell your entire wedding story.  That being said, once in awhile I will book an elopement, or a short wedding, a few months prior to the wedding.  This was the case with Katie and Scott.  I met Katie years ago at her cousin’s wedding.  Katie is such a sweetheart, and also does some portrait photography work of her own.  She loved her cousin’s Colorado wedding photos so much, that she wanted to hire me too.  I was free on their wedding day, so they hired me to cover the ceremony and the portrait parts of their big day.  I know I say it a lot, but I really do have the BEST clients!  These two, and their families, were so wonderful to work with.  Katie wins my award for the most laid-back bride in history too!  Katie and Scott had a vibrant Chapel at Red Rocks wedding on a warm sumer day in 2015.  They had some great purple and blue wedding details, including Katie’s beautiful sparkly purple heels, and a blue and purple sand ceremony.  My color-loving self was so happy too, with all the beautiful red rock formations (I got married at the Red Rocks Trading Post, so I am obviously biased), the groom and groomsmen’s fun superhero socks, the lush green trees, and all the colorful wildflowers flooding the ground.

After the ceremony, they signed their marriage license, and then we spent nearly an hour around the Red Rocks Amphitheater taking lots of bride and groom photos.  It was nice to have so much time with just the two of them, and I am sure it was nice for them to get away from the craziness of the day for a little private time 🙂

Scott is a true gentleman!  He carried his bride for quite a ways in the summer heat, because those purple heels were killing her poor feet.  He is definitely a keeper, Katie 🙂

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter weekend!  I am heading back up to Winter Park again, hopefully the roads aren’t terrible from this 2016 snowpocalypse 😉  Lots more pretties to share with you next week…so check back.

xoxo,
Melissa
