I will always share a special bond with Ashley and Joe in that we share wedding anniversaries! Colorado ski resort weddings are always so much fun to photograph. So even though it was my anniversary, I was excited to capture photos of their beautiful Copper Mountain wedding. Ashley and Joe, like us, thought the 4th of July weekend was a perfect time to get married 🙂 Based on the smiles on their faces, and their guests’ faces, throughout the day…it absolutely was!
Ashley and Joe’s wedding was a truly magical day. They had great weather, tons of portrait time, such warm and welcoming friends and family, and many cute ski-themed wedding details. I especially loved the sign they had for the chairlift, the beautiful florals, the chairlift escort card display, and the adorable donut wedding favors. They were also sure to include their precious fur children in the days festivities. Their dogs even sported tiny little tuxedos for the event! Guests enjoyed delicious food and drink, and packed the dance floor with lots of patriotic props. Lastly, the night ended with a fun sparkler exit.
They scheduled a good amount of bride and groom photos after the ceremony. This is always appreciated, especially when getting married at such a pretty Colorado mountain wedding venue. As a result, we were able to get a lot of variety and they had some relaxed and romantic time together 🙂
I am pretty scared of heights, but I do absolutely love wedding chairlift photos LOL! Because of this, my husband rode with me. He was able to hold all my gear, and that certainly calmed my nerves. I kinda love how the photos turned out 🙂
