Next up on the blog, cute Miss Calli and her beloved horse, Cappy! This is actually part one of this three part session. I will also be sharing with you her brother Chase’s senior photos, and their Loveland family photo session from this fun-filled afternoon. This was my first time capturing Colorado horse photography. While I have shot a few frames with horses here and there, like at Lone Hawk Farms, this was the first time that a horse was one of my main subjects. It was a lot of fun! Cappy was a very good horse, and certainly loves Calli very much 🙂
Firstly, for Calli and Cappy’s Colorado horse photography session we had to find a location that allowed horses. Also, a place that wasn’t too far for her parents to trailer Cappy to. As well as a place that had some variety for the other parts of the session. Bobcat Ridge Natural Area fit the bill! We had a gorgeous, sunny Colorado afternoon and the photos came together beautifully. We took advantage of all that Bobcat Ridge had to offer. Including great mountain views, old, rustic buildings, mature trees, and the horse trail alike.
Thank you for checking out my photography work. Can you believe March is upon us this week?! I am definitely freaking out a bit, because in just days I will be saying, I am having a baby THIS month!! Lastly, just a reminder that I will be on maternity leave starting mid-March through the end of May. Email responses may take a little bit longer than normal, and portrait bookings will be limited.
Love these photos – thanks for sharing!
I love these pictures of my granddaughter and her horse!
