Diep + Johnson | Denver Wedding Photography | Colorado Vietnamese Wedding

April 13, 2017

Well, the month is almost halfway over and this is my first blog post…but I have a good reason!  On the evening of March 26th I went into labor and 20 hours later our baby boy came into the world!  He is awesome and adorable, and we couldn’t be more in love 🙂  While I am technically on maternity leave, I still have so much blogging to get caught up on in the coming months.  So, while I have been slowly working on this blog post for over a week now, it’s finally ready to share.  Without further ado…Diep and Johnson’s Denver wedding photography from Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs.

Diep and Johnson’s wedding day was an action packed day, full of joy, love, and tradition!  After spending a little time with Diep while she got ready at the Omni Interlocken, we headed to the first of two Vietnamese tea ceremonies.  Diep looked stunning in her traditional Vietnamese attire.  After the two at home ceremonies, she changed into an equally beautiful white wedding gown and we captured some quick bride and groom photos at a neighborhood golf course.  Next, we headed over to their Catholic wedding ceremony at the Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs Parish.  A few days before the wedding I scoped out a nearby park where we were able to capture many bride and groom and wedding party photos. Inspiration Point Park is only five minutes from the church, and it was just beautiful this time of year!  The park was covered in beautiful flower beds, as well as tons of mature trees.  We couldn’t have asked for a better (or more convenient) spot for their portrait time.

After some beautiful nature portraits we headed back to the church for their reception.  We photographed their “photo booth” with the happy couple and all of their guests.  Then, everyone enjoyed an elaborate meal, a beautifully intricate cake, and live music.  The couple visited every table and toasted with all of their 480 guests!  Diep had 2 more gorgeous outfit changes during the reception, and then they danced and partied the night away.  It was definitely an exhausting day, but oh so fun to share in Diep and Johnson’s dream wedding celebration!

After the ceremony at Johnson’s home, we snapped some quick bride and groom photos at the neighborhood golf course.  Then, we headed to the church for their catholic wedding ceremony.

Congratulations again to the newlyweds!  Next, I hope to share Bryanna’s farm senior photos with you very soon.  Still adjusting to my new life as a parent though, so no promises when that will be exactly!  I am still accepting a handful of May portrait sessions, and will be back in full time shooting mode in June.  So don’t delay…book your session now 🙂

Lastly, a photo of me and my new little man…15 days new! Longmont family photos
