Best of 2017 Portraits | Colorado Family Pictures | Breckenridge Photographer

It was a super busy weekend around here! I shot another beautiful winter wedding, and captured some snowy engagement photos up at Sapphire Point in Breckenridge. Speaking of Breckenridge, I visited frequently in 2017, for many great sessions. You already saw some of those in my “End of Year” post for engagements/couples. Here are some others for my “Best of 2017 Portraits” post. This time I went up there a handful of times to capture Colorado family pictures.

Breckenridge isn’t the only Colorado hot spot that I visited this past year with happy families or gorgeous pregnant mamas! I had numerous sessions at Coot Lake, outside of Boulder. This is always a popular location, because it’s fairly close, it has water and mountain views, and there are some colorful trees in the fall. I also went to Wyoming for 3 sessions, to work with past clients and friends 🙂 Those were a lot of fun too! I worked with my neighbors again, several friends from my high school, a former co-worker, a dance friend, and even my own wonderful family. I love that in Colorado you can have photo sessions year round. Sure, snowy Colorado family pictures are not for everyone…but oh how I love those too! I wrapped my season in the last week of the year, with a fun-filled session with the Craker family. They had a ball playing in the snow, along with their pups. And I had a ball photographing them. It was an amazing way to end another successful year of my Colorado portrait photography business.
