Here it is…my final “Year in Review” post! Although, I do still have many 2017 sessions and weddings to blog in full. Check back often for those! I usually do a lot of sharing during the off season 🙂 Since I had my sweet baby boy in the spring, I decided to take a few months off for maternity leave. For this reason, I took on fewer of my own weddings than normal in 2017. I also did a lot more second shooting than I typically do. This post is a mixture of the Colorado wedding pictures I captured from both roles, primary and secondary photographer.
The year brought several visits to the Bella Sera Event Center in Brighton, multiple epic ski resort weddings, a picturesque stroll through Rocky Mountain National Park. As well as two trips to my family’s home away from home, Granby. Both my older sister and my in-laws have places near Granby, so we love to visit when we can 🙂 Since I spend a decent amount of time up there, it was about time that I got to shoot at Strawberry Creek Ranch and Granby Ranch. I had visited both of these locations in the past, but was just itching to capture Colorado wedding pictures here too. 2017 also brought some of the most stunning golden hour light I have ever shot in! At not one…but two, southern Denver weddings.
A cool realization I had while preparing this post was that in 2017, I got to shoot at all three of the locations that my sisters and I got married at! How fun is that?! Each of these locations brought back lots of amazing memories. Especially Red Rocks, since that is where I said “I do” in 2010 🙂 My twin sister is about to celebrate 10 years since she tied the knot at Ellis Ranch. And my older sister was married at Lionscrest Manor a year later. Three very different and unique Colorado venues. Places that represent the uniqueness we each have, and exemplifies the variety in Colorado’s beautiful landscapes. So many gorgeous locations to begin your marriage!

Well, that’s a wrap on 2017! I hope you enjoyed all of these “Year in Review” posts 🙂 It was sure fun to look back on all of these Colorado wedding pictures, with these wonderful couples!
