Hey there, thanks for stopping by the blog today! I didn’t get a chance to blog (or get any other work done for that matter) this past weekend. We celebrated my sweet boy’s first birthday yesterday. We had his party over the weekend, and that kept me extremely busy….planning, DIY projects, cleaning, decorating, all while fighting a terrible cold. I didn’t get everything done that I wanted, but he will never know the difference. It was definitely a success though! One of the guests at the party was this cute little munchkin, Micah, and his parents 🙂 I was lucky enough to be his Longmont child photographer last fall at the Callahan House, not long after his own first birthday.
Micah has been such a tiny fighter during his short time on earth. He was born 3 months early, and has had numerous surgeries and procedures, and spent the first 10 months of his life in the NICU. Fortunately, he has a wonderful support system, and a fighting spirit. Micah’s mother is one of my oldest and dearest friends. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding, and so I was so happy to finally get her family in front of my camera. Especially with Micah’s adorable, infectious smile…what a doll! Desirae is an RN herself, so Micah is in wonderful hands. We don’t see each other as often as we would like, but I predict a lot of play dates in our boys’ future, since they are so close in age.
