Becca + Barrett | Ellis Ranch Wedding | Loveland Wedding Photographer

Happy Wednesday, and happy May to you! I am always surprised when a new month is upon us…it happens so quickly. Summer will certainly be here in the blink of an eye! The first blog post in this new month is another fun second shooting gig. Becca and Barrett’s big day was my first time capturing photos of an Ellis Ranch wedding. However, it was not my first time being involved in a wedding there. 10 years ago in June, my twin sister got married here, and it was my only time being a maid-of-honor! It was fun to be back, and it brought back a lot of happy memories from that day. It even brought back a few butterflies to my stomach, thinking about when I had to make a maid-of-honor toast in front of all of those people 😉 Needless to say, I do not enjoy public speaking!

Thanks to E. Moon Photography for having me along for Becca and Barrett’s Ellis Ranch wedding. It was a very hot summer day, but we were rewarded for all of the work and sweat with a jaw-dropping golden hour! The lighting was some of the prettiest I ever remember at a wedding. Can I please order that up for every wedding?! I had a lot of fun helping out Emily for part of this day. We work similarly with our couples, and that made me feel right at home. Becca and Barrett are super sweet, and a pretty reserved, quite couple. But they were wonderful to work with and have a beautiful connection together. My favorite parts of their day were the aforementioned stunning golden hour light, Becca arriving to the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage (my sis did the same!), and the comical garter toss. Truly such a fun day!
