Brittney + Cory | Boulder Engagement Portraits | Chautauqua Park

Meet Brittney and Cory! They are one of the awesome couples I will be capturing Colorado wedding photos for, later this year. Their wedding will take place in Vail, and I couldn’t be more excited to work with them again! These Boulder engagement portraits were so much fun. I tell all of my engagement clients, “Don’t stress about time. I am easy-going, and engagement sessions are my favorite!”. This ended up being so fitting for Brittney and Cory. We wandered around Boulder for more than a few hours, and it was so much fun. There was no way to narrow the photos down to a smaller amount with multiple locations and outfits…so I delivered a bunch! I know they didn’t mind 🙂

For their Boulder engagement photos, I first met up with Brittney and Cory at Chautauqua Park. It’s never bad shooting at Chautauqua. There are views pretty much any direction you look. And on this day, it wasn’t particularly busy either, which was a nice change. They brought their adorable furbaby for some family photos too. Aren’t they just the cutest family of blondies?! After an outfit change, we added a few props into the mix. They snuggled tight under a blanket (it was November after all), they shared a toast with some wine, and another with a beer…my kind of clients! Then they shared some kisses amongst the crunchy orange leaves of fall. Then that was a wrap at Chautauqua, so we headed north to the Pearl Street Mall area.

One more outfit change was in order. Then we had some more fun walking all around, chatting about their wedding, CU, my baby, all kinds of different things. I love engagement sessions for this reason, and always try to encourage them whenever possible. It really allows us to get to know each other better, and makes it so that my couples are much more comfortable on their wedding day. We stopped many times along our walk, anytime something in our urban setting caught my interest. We posed them with that always popular rainbow brick wall, against an ivy wall, under the Boulder Theater marquee, and down this unique alley I like. Even though it took me forever to find the dang alley lol! Because Christmas was coming next month, there were colorful lights strung all over Pearl Street. More kisses under the lights of blue, green, orange, and yellow was the perfect end to an amazing afternoon. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
