Kathryn + Alex | Timber Ridge Keystone Wedding | Colorado Ski Resort Wedding

Kathryn and Alex said their “I do’s” at 11,000 feet at their stunning Timber Ridge Keystone wedding. Thanks to the amazing Erinn of Redrock Portrait Design for having me along to shoot. This was such a beautiful wedding to be a part of. And even though I dropped one of my flashes off the gondola, and it literally ripped in two, I had a total blast on this awesome day!

I have photographed numerous ski resort weddings over the years. This, however, was my first time at the Timber Ridge Lodge in Keystone. I sure hope it is not my last time here though. I really liked this location a lot. Great views…check! Enclosed gondola for this scaredy cat…check! (I kid, I kid…mostly!!). Beautiful mountain lodge reception…check! What a perfect option for a picturesque, very “Colorado” setting 🙂

Some of my favorite parts of Kathryn and Alex’s Timber Ridge Keystone wedding were the first look between Kathryn and her dad. So emotional and sweet! As well as Alex’s family’s cabin where the guys got ready. Holy cow, what a beautiful home! Also, Kathryn’s dress was absolutely gorgeous on her. It fit her like a glove and we got some variety in the photos when she removed the lace cover during the sunset portraits. Lastly, I loved the modern flowers they incorporated into their reception. I, myself, have a contemporary style, so it was a refreshing change to see such simple arrangements. Clean lines, white calla lilies and tulips, a little bit of moss here and there…pretty, pretty!!

Haha…sometimes we get some silly outtakes as well 🙂

Have I mentioned that Colorado ski resort weddings are some of my favorites?! They sure are…can’t get enough! I am afraid of heights, but I always suck it up for those epic mountain views. So worth it 🙂 Katrina and Brian’s A-basin wedding was another recent favorite, if you want to see even more mountain high love!
