Archie Turns One! | Fort Collins Child Photographer | Cake Smash Photos

I have had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Aguirres family for several years now. First, I shot Kerra and Matt’s engagement portraits, then their Highland Meadows wedding, two maternity sessions, Archie’s newborn photos, and finally, I was their Fort Collins child photographer earlier this year. We captured these when Archie was technically 13 months old. They almost didn’t do this session, because they were past his birthday. But I am positive they will not regret having these photos in the coming years. They are only one once after all! I am looking forward to another session, with the whole family later this year πŸ™‚

Since this was still technically winter, we were looking for a location that didn’t look too brown and blah! We decided onΒ Rolland Moore Park. This worked well, although the wind picked up and poor Archie definitely started to get chilly. But once he tasted his cake from Oh So Sweet Cakes, his mood picked up and the goosebumps were (most likely) worth it…for that sugary sweet goodness!

We lucked out with the “hot air” balloon shot because it really was quite windy! And Archie only lasted in the basket for about one minute πŸ™‚ He is an active toddler after all!

He was sooo not feeling it at first. But once we encouraged the cake eating, things got a lot better for this dapper little dude!
