Cassie was originally referred to me by my former dance teammate, Lyndsey. I first worked with her a few years ago for some sassy portraits, as a surprise gift for Jason, prior to their wedding. It was fun reconnecting with her again for her Greeley maternity photos. Leading up to their photos, we were debating about where to do their session. Then Cassie mentioned their own backyard as a possible location. I loved this idea! It doesn’t get much more personal that this…photos at your own home 🙂 Their yard worked perfectly, too. It was full of lush trees and a greenery archway, a couple cute benches, a white picket fence, and even a fun green door.
Besides a ton of mosquitoes on this warm, summer afternoon, it was an absolutely perfect day! Cassie looked stunning in the two maternity dresses she sported. It wasn’t too windy, the sunlight was soft and gorgeous, and they provided a couple baby props, which was great. You don’t want so many things that the shoot becomes overwhelmed by props. Or takes away from the most important element…that beautiful baby bump!
This adorable onesie is super fitting, as Jason comes from a long line of produce farmers.
This is definitely one of my favorites from this maternity session. Such a tender moment, with gorgeous sunlight peeking through the trees. Love!!

Congrats again Cassie and Jason! I hope parenthood with beautiful miss Collins is going great 🙂 I loved working with you twice this summer, and hope to have you in front of my camera again in 2019! Coming to the blog next, Erin’s spring senior session from the Roosevelt Park Rose Garden. Less than one week until Christmas…are you ready? I am finally feeling better after this horrendous cold.
