I gotta admit, I am going to be kind of sad if I don’t get an opportunity to photograph at the Colorado ice castles this year! Hint, hint…who wants a session there in the month of February? Last year I captured 7 portrait sessions up there. So not a single one this year, would be quite sad! But I digress. What a super snowy (but totally gorgeous) afternoon in Dillon for Molly’s Colorado winter senior pictures.
Molly is just the sweetest! I use to work for the same company as her mom, so I kind of, sort of knew her mom. Molly is also friends with my former Longmont senior photography client, Tiana. This icy and snowy session was quite different than Tiana’s summer session in a swimming pool…but both amazingly fun! I love how Molly’s red hair pops against the blue and white ice formations. And let’s talk about that smile! Wow, she could light up a room with that smile. Molly joined the army after high school. That’s so awesome, I hope that is going well for you so far 🙂 And thank you for your service!
Oh how I love this one, with the soft, fluffy snowflakes in her eyelashes!! I even submitted it into the “Teens and Seniors” division for the annual Shoot & Share photography competition. Fingers crossed! I had a 14th place finish in 2017. A 35th place finish last year. So hopefully this, or one of my other photographs, will do really well too. I don’t want to totally tank the competition this year lol! Voting starts on Friday, and is open to ANYONE…in case you are looking for a way to kill some time 🙂
I hope Molly’s Colorado winter senior pictures have inspired you to consider a winter portrait session for yourself. They are way underestimated. They can be truly amazing!
