The Lilly Family | Breckenridge Colorado Family Portraits | Sapphire Point

The Lilly family was another fun bunch I had the opportunity to work with this past summer. It was a sunny, bright day for their Breckenridge Colorado family portraits. We decided on Sapphire Point for their session. What a surprise lol! This is a popular location of mine, no doubt. It is the location of about 90% of my Summit County photography sessions. It, however, is always a great choice! There is very little hiking, and epic views just steps away from the parking lot. In the summer you are almost always likely to get photobombed by an adorable little chipmunk too 😉

I would say the one negative about Sapphire Point is the fact that it can be very busy. Especially in the summer! Frequently there are weddings going on at the overlook, so we are restricted as to where we can shoot. Or if there is not a wedding, there is bound to be another photo shoot going on…or two, or three! Not a problem though. 5 minutes down the road is the Windy Point Campground. It is super beautiful too! I like hitting both locations during a single shoot, to give us some nice variety. That is exactly what we did for the Lilly’s Breckenridge Colorado family portraits. It came together beautifully, and was an easy-going, enjoyable session for all involved.

I loved the pops of coral the ladies wore for the session! Went really great against all of the green and blue in the scenery 🙂
