Wendy and BJ are fellow Longmont high school alumni. Thanks to Facebook I have kept in contact with Wendy over the years. So when they hired me to capture their Erie Colorado wedding photos, I was completely thrilled! They had recently finished building their new home in Erie, which gave them access to a great amenity center. When they found out weddings can be hosted at the center, they decided to book it for their event. They had a very intimate, family-only wedding this past fall. The Colliers Hill amenity center was the perfect fit for their celebration! It is 5 minutes away from their home, has nice views of the mountains, a great, modern interior, and a pond that was great for their wedding portraits and ceremony.
October in Colorado can be very unpredictable! I have been to weddings that were sunny and warm, and other’s that are snowy and frigid. They lucked out! The weather was sun-drenched, and very warm. It was a perfect day!
My favorite parts of Wendy and BJ’s wedding were their first look in their own home. Talk about personal and meaningful! We also got some photos with their precious furbaby, Rocky. He was Wendy’s first pet, as an adult, and they had been through everything together. Not long after the wedding, Rocky passed away. I am so glad Wendy got photos holding him in her wedding dress <3
I also loved their sweet wedding ceremony. Their sisters were the officiants, so it was very personal, full of laughter and tears of joy. They ended the ceremony celebration with a fun confetti recessional. Their reception decor was tasteful, and beautifully orchestrated. They gave out adorable succulents as wedding favors. Their centerpieces were small lanterns, stacked on top of vintage books. Everything looked great, and they mingled and danced the night away with their closest loved ones.

This is probably my favorite of their Erie Colorado wedding photos, that sunset looked incredible!
