Here it is, my second (and final) group session from the class of 2019 senior rep team! I thought it could be really fun to do a bowling senior session. Actually, I have wanted to do a bowling session of some sort for years. I honestly almost NEVER bowl. But I just thought it could be a really fun session. And with all of that color, you just can’t go wrong 😉 We got permission to do the shoot at the Wild Game in Longmont. Unfortunately it turned out to be a crappy weather day outside, so it was packed. I had really hoped we would have the place relatively to ourselves. But not a chance LOL! Colorado senior photographers have to be flexible though, and up for making adjustments on the fly. That’s exactly what we did.
Overall, I am very happy with the way the shoot came together. I did have to photoshop out all of the distracting television shows in the background. That was another reason I was so hoping it would be a quite day at Wild Game. Perhaps then, they would have kept the televisions off for us, or even pulled up the white screens all together. What can you do though? I also had to photoshop people out of the background. I did my absolute best trying to keep from getting bowling patrons in the photos period. It was way more editing work than I intended. But still very happy that I brought this vision to life!

Because it was super busy I didn’t bring in supplemental light, because the light stands would be too intrusive for all of the other patrons. I think they came out great still, despite just using my on-camera flash and a higher ISO.

We got goofy…and had some fun too!

With dancers around…we always have to get some pretty dance shots too 😉

Notice the 19 on the bowling ball! Class of 2019 represent 😉

With a little arcade in the same building…we just had to take advantage of all of the colorful lights too!

Finally, I decided last minute to bring along some silly string too. We left the bowling alley/arcade to capture a few “silly” outdoor photos too. I absolutely loved how these shots turned out. What a mess though! We did clean it up as best as we could after!

Unfortunately, I have made the decision not to continue the senior rep team for the foreseeable future. I still absolutely love being part of the Colorado senior photographers community and capturing photos of this important time in life. But it was a lot more work than thought it would be. While it was a lot of fun, and spread my business name a bit, I will plan to try and market my senior photography services in other ways in the coming year. Hopefully you enjoyed all of the photos from these rep sessions, though! Well, I do still have several others to share with you all…and even a few more (possibly) to shoot this spring!
Class of 2020, it’s not too early to start planning your own senior portrait photography experience! Sessions will start at $325. Email me at plumprettyphoto@gmail.com now to start planning now 🙂 Finally, click HERE to check out one of my other favorite themed senior sessions! Have the best weekend friends!
