Alix + Travis | Chatfield Gardens Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photography

50 blog posts since the beginning of the year…go me!! I had such a fun time working with Erinn of Red Rock Portrait Design again. This time she had me along for Alix and Travis’ Chatfield Gardens wedding. I have shot at this venue a bunch of time. This was actually Erinn’s first time, so I shared some of my favorite spots with her 🙂 All of the other weddings I have shot at Chatfield, however, have been during the summer. November in Colorado is really unpredictable. But what a gorgeous, sunny day it was! There was still some nice fall foliage left in some spots, and we definitely took advantage of that.

Some of my favorite parts of Alix and Travis’ fall wedding day were all of the adorable little details. The bridesmaids carrying small gold lanterns, Alix’s stunning red, organ and yellow bouquet, the “tears of joy” packets and snuggly blankets for the ceremony. Also, the adorable pumpkin place cards, the dessert “table” set up on a wooden ladder, and a hot cocoa bar. They totally spoiled their guests…and literally thought of everything! I always love all of these fun details. That is how my own wedding was. It creates such a wow factor in my opinion. Alix and Travis’ ceremony was also very emotional. There were very few dry eyes, especially when Alix presented her new stepdaughter with a beautiful necklace and heartfelt words. So stinking sweet! That’s why I love this job!

Alix and Travis’ officiant also served as a “groom’s woman”! I loved it…all of Travis’ closest pals by his side 🙂
