Sophie-Class of 2019 | Silver Creek Senior Portraits | Coot Lake Longmont

“Always find a reason to laugh. It may not add years to your life, but it will surely add life to your years.” -unknown. This quote is oh so fitting for my senior photography session with the lovely Sophie. Sophie was referred to me by my senior rep team member, Sasha. They are classmates and good friends. Sophie was SUCH a character…she had me cracking up the entire session. She is an undeniable performer, and a total natural in front of the camera. Sophie is involved in choir and theatre at Silver Creek High School. After high school she plans to go to a performing arts school in New York City. I am sure she will do great 🙂 She sure had me entertained during her Silver Creek senior portraits at Coot Lake.

Coot Lake is always a great location, with all of the variety. During fall, however, it’s unbeatable! There was a lot of great fall colors, mountain views, big tree stumps to sit on, a small bridge and dock. As well as easy access to both the lake and Boulder Reservoir. It’s a great location for Longmont, Niwot and Boulder seniors alike, because it’s centrally located between these areas. The weather had us a bit worried during Sophie’s session, but the rain mostly held off. Along with Sophie’s charismatic, spunky personality, I also loved her personal style. She sported some eclectic harem pants, as well as a colorful, boho-type wrap. So fun! And not everyone can rock bangs as well as she does. A true beauty on the inside and out 🙂

It wasn’t raining super hard, but I am glad I brought along an umbrella just in case. It made for a perfectly adorable photo prop!

As I was saying…SUCH a character!! This was the first time I had a shot like this requested, that’s for sure 😉

Thank you Sophie! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors. You are so close now to being done with high school…hooray! Soak in all of these memories. Time flies by so quickly 🙂 It was a true pleasure capturing these portraits for you.
